Elizabeth Segstro

Local artist, Elizabeth Segstro, is a full-time resident of Radium Hot Springs. In 1973 she studied Commercial Art at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary and, in 1992, completed a post-graduate program in Computer Animation at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario where she subsequently taught Classical Animation.

She then opened a successful art school in Ontario, called “Sm’Art”, featuring a curriculum based on Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. She has enjoyed a long and varied career as an illustrator, painter, portraitist and caricaturist. She also founded and published Sage magazine in Ontario and Alberta from 2008 – 2011.
